Done!
Woah, man...

"The Family Spirits": A story of three generations of women of unusual perception, and their beloved ghosts and spirits.
After my last post, I did a couple of last minute fixes and made a minor addition or two, then called it done and printed it. There's a lot more I could have done, but I was exhausted from writing all weekend and from getting up at 5:45 AM for a half-day of paying work.
My brain feels like it just ran a marathon. My body feels like it spent the whole weekend hunched over a computer keyboard... funny that. Even my eyeballs are tired.
But the novel's done, and I'll be handing it in tomorrow after work.

Re: Congratulations!
I do seem to need a motivator, whether it be a challenge like NaNoWriMo or a contest like this one. Deadlines and I get along well.
I think I heard about this contest at the local library, because the group that runs the contest is actually in Vancouver (where I am). If you are interested in learning more about the contest, for people do participate from all around the world, the website: 3-Day Noval Contest (http://www.3daynovel.com/).
The winner isn't announced until December or January, but just getting to "the end" was accomplishment enough for me, for now anyway.
I don't mind sending it out for reading. What email address would you like it sent to? (If you don't want your email address sitting here for anyone to read, you can email me at dreamhopeATlivejournalDOTcom, or delete the comment after posting - I get all comments emailed to me.)
I'm having a very relaxing weekend so far, and I spent the whole day away from my computer screen. Thanks!
Re: Congratulations!
This looks like fun. Well, fun in a going crazy-not getting any sleep- pulling hair out kind of way but fun nonetheless.
Some of the novels from previous winners look pretty interesting. Have you checked any of them out?
And I'd love to see your's as well. My email address is catnip_dreamz@yahoo.com
Best of luck!
Re: Congratulations!
I haven't read the past winners books yet. I wanted to buy some of them when I registered, but I only had the $50 registration fee. I hope to read some of them before next year.
I sent the manuscript as an attachment. I hope you enjoy it!
