Party prep and other work
Feb. 8th, 2004 08:18 pmI have so many events to look forward to in the coming weeks. Lots of prep necessary for some of them.
Next Saturday is our psychic fair. Found someone to do the calling, thank goodness, and we have the psychics all lined up, but there's still schedules to make, etc. Not to mention the actual work of running the thing. I sure hope we make some money off of it!
Russ, Jamey and I are going to Sin City for Valentine's Day. I think I am going to wuss out on that one and wear a costume I already own. I just need to get to Dress Sew for a cheap boa and maybe some gloves.
The weekend after Valentine's will hopefully be the weekend Russ and I go away for a couple of days. It is an anniversary of sorts. We won't be going far, maybe Harrison Hot Springs, but something out of town and away from it all.
The weekend after that is a friend's belated birthday party. Must remember to purchase alcohol!
Then, the weekend after that, is my birthday party! There must be alcohol, food, prizes and decorations bought. I must finish my costume.
Lots of work, but lots of fun. I am excited about so many things that it is hard to be patient with the many ordinary days I have between now and all of the events.
Not that the ordinary days will be boring... Omega's external sales manager is down this week, and I am counting on her to help me choose my new hire, help me get my staff raises and get some other staffing issues fixed up. It should be all too exciting.
