Please, let it rain

The forest fire threat in BC grows dire again. I sure hope it rains, a lot, soon.

The clouds are thick and grey tonight, but high. I fear they will blow off before providing any relief.

It rained just a couple of nights ago, but it can barely soak into the dry ground, the desperate plants, before the hot day draws it away.

But today was cooler, and windy. It feels like rain will be here within a day or two.

Rain today, in fact! Unfortunately, it was accompanied by thunder and lightening, so the forest fire risk is not entirely averted.
