It struck me today that is it sad that most posts that get tons of comments are drama-based posts. We need more happy posts! We need lots of happy comments! I need lots of happy comments - let's beat my record!* So: a game!

Here's the game: Comment on this post with something that makes you happy. Choose something that you think most people have experienced or should appreciate more. Then, comment to all the comments that are about happy things you have experienced with a story or observation about it. Be detailed! Engage the senses! Share the joy!

Even if you are seeing this post days, weeks or even months or years after it was posted, play anyway. I get comments emailed to me, so I may still get your happy notes.

*I think the most comments I've ever had on one post has been about 45, on a question and answer post. I don't have a lot of drama on my LJ.

I saw a rainbow today:)
when i was little i would always run outside after it rained to try and find one. i havn't looked for one in years. today as i was leaving work i just looked up and there was a huge rainbow arching across the sky. it was completly unexpected, and reminded me that i need to look up more;)

I love rainbows! I love the sky ones and I love the little ones in sprinklers and around waterfalls.

There was one day, when I was having a rough day at school, where I saw four rainbows in the sky at once! Three of them were one above the other, each one thicker but less distinct then the one below. The fourth one was opposite the others. It lifted my spirits so much to be surrounded by their fragile beauty.

The coolest rainbow I ever saw was driving through the Rockies two summers ago on my way to Alberta. We were driving through these amazing mountains and valleys, into and out of thunderstorms. At one point we saw a huge rainbow in front of super black sky full of thunderclouds, and then there was a strike of fork lightning behind the rainbow. Very cool.

I like seeing rainbows from airplanes. They form perfect circles and often you get a second rainbow around the first, with colours in reverse order. Once I saw three such circles (the colours were in the original order in the third circle.)

One day, after a thunderstorm, the sun came out while the sky was still cloudy and started setting, and the sky was all golden, and I opened the door to look and there was a rainbow, just chillin' across the street.

Marie: Yo.
Rainbow: Yo. 'Sup?

Oh I love rainbows too! When I was in Florida once, I saw the whole rainbow from one side to the other! They are just beautiful!

A few times I have seen a double rainbow - they are just magical with their brilliant colors seet against a gray sky!

I used to have a stuffed BumbleLion and Rhinokey. Bumblelion went through the laundry for some reason, and when he came out his hair had shrunk. Instead of that fluffy pink do, he had a really tight frizzy patch.

I remember watching that show. Wuzzles, right? I thnk we had some of the books too.

...that memory made me happy.
